ShoddyAudioLab is in closed testing. The current build focus now spans install-aware setup, fast tuning controls, Builder Mode EQ workflows, Garage-based tune handling, a fuller shell and settings experience, and stronger diagnostics and support tooling for troubleshooting and release-note capture.

April 8, 2026 - Version 4

Closed testing Version 4 Shell and support polish

Added a much fuller Settings experience with appearance controls, palette selection, custom shell colors, and a live shell preview so Dashboard, Garage, Builder, and adaptive surfaces stay visually aligned.
Added a built-in debug export flow that previews, copies, or shares an AudioLab support snapshot with version details, shell settings, audio session state, tuning context, and recent snapshots.
Added a dedicated support section with clearer project and version information plus a direct external support link for continued testing and development.
Refined the main app shell for phones and tablets with clearer navigation between Dashboard, Garage, Advanced, and Settings plus a more polished workspace header.
Updated dashboard messaging so Quick Tune, Builder Mode, and support tooling better explain how everyday adjustments, advanced tuning, and diagnostics fit together.

April 7, 2026 - 1.0 (Build 3)

Closed testing Build 3 Diagnostics and support

Added an app-specific debug export for capturing the active AudioLab state during troubleshooting.
Expanded Settings with dedicated Diagnostics and Support plus Credits and Support sections.
Made it easier to copy or share the support report directly from the app.
Added ready-to-paste website and Google Play release notes directly inside the app.

April 2, 2026 - Version2

Closed testing Version2 Preset workflow

Save your own Everyday Listening and Builder Mode tunes directly from the dashboard.
Keep custom presets even without an advanced vehicle setup, then load them later from Garage or the preset picker.
Builder Mode now shows a horizontal scroll cue so hidden EQ bands are easier to discover on tablet layouts.

April 1, 2026 - First closed testing build

Added install-aware vehicle setup so tuning starts from the actual hardware and cabin context.
Introduced Quick Tune controls for faster day-to-day sound adjustments.
Added Builder Mode EQ tuning for more hands-on setup work.
Enabled live adaptive sound adjustments during use.
Added a Garage for saving custom tunes and rollback snapshots.
Started collecting tester feedback to help dial in the experience before wider rollout.

Current direction

ShoddyAudioLab is starting with a practical tuning workflow instead of a generic preset pack. The goal is to help real installs move from first setup to repeatable tuning with fast adjustments, deeper Builder Mode control, and safer rollback when trying aggressive changes.

Why the first closed test matters

Validate install-aware setup across different vehicle and hardware combinations.
Check whether Quick Tune controls feel useful during normal driving.
Stress Builder Mode EQ workflows before opening the audience wider.
Confirm Garage snapshots make tune experimentation easier to trust.
